2)b) Window blinds on the windows inside the licensed spaces in the classroom do not have pull cords, but they do have inner cords that are capable of being pulled out to form a loop, posing a potential hazard. Dispute Description: The blinds that we have on the windows are the same blinds that we were licensed with just 4 years ago and every inspection since, the blinds have not been a problem. This leaves me to be very confused and not ever knowing if what I am doing is right. I try my very best and always ask questions. I was told that this is a new thing about having them locked down and that inspectors are just being told as well. Isn't there some sort of a warning that can be given before being slapped with a violation in this manner especially when it has never been brought up in the past? Also, with our blinds, unless you were to pull very hard. (I mean break them) you could not form a loop big enough to strangle any child and for a child to even try, they would have to be standing on a table or adult size chair. Regardless, we did secure the blinds that day and they are fastened to the wall like she wanted. I take what is told me very seriously and do my best to correct on the spot. I would just ask that this be given a warning to get corrected rather then a violation that makes me look like I want to harm children which is farther than the truth. Thankyou!
